The photos on this page are of Whatlington where The Green Tree Writing Company is located.  The village is situated about 2 miles from the 1066 “Battle of Hastings” Battlefield and has a history that stretches back to the Norman Conquest with the church reputedly to be the site for a pre-battle prayer for King Harold.  The village is mentioned in the Doomsday Book of 1086.
